Parking/How to pay

How to pay

Payment can be made by credit card or payWave at the barrier arm as you leave the car park or with cash or Eftpos at pay stations located in each car park and outside the terminal. 

Advance booking is not available, please park and pay onsite.

Free parking in all car parks for the first 20 minutes.

PayWave

  • When entering the car park hold a pay wave card over the pay wave pad when four green lights show remove card, no ticket is given.
  • When leaving drive to the exit gate and hold the same pay wave card over the pay wave pad remove the card once 4 green lights are displayed.
  • In a couple of seconds a receipt will then pop out, once you take your receipt the gate will rise.
  • If you are less than 20 minutes the gate will open without debiting your card.

Please note: that due to a security filter the four green lights take a couple of seconds longer than at a retail site.

Credit card

  • Enter the car park using your credit card, inserting it into the credit card slot on the ticket machine on entry. Wait until display shows “Remove card”, no ticket is given.
  • Exit the car park by inserting the same credit card used on entry into the credit card slot on the exit ticket machine at the barrier. Wait until instructed to remove it. 
  • You don’t need to visit the pay station.
  • If you stay under 20 minutes, barrier will rise automatically.
  • The barrier will go up once you have taken your receipt.

Ticket – cash, eftpos or credit card

  • Take a ticket on entry
  • Pay at the pay machine located at the front of the terminal using, cash, Eftpos or credit card (American Express or Diners Club cards are not accepted)
  • Pay machines are situated at the pay station at the front of the terminal.
  • Take your ticket and proceed to exit gate.
  • If you stay under 20 minutes, barrier will rise automatically.
  • The barrier will go up once you have inserted your ticket.

Parking information

  • All pay stations accept cash, Eftpos or credit cards and are situated at the front of the terminal and within the car parks.
  • The car parks operate 24-hours a day, every day of the year.
  • Parking is at vehicle owners’ own risk.
  • Parking is subject to availability.
  • Maximum stay is three months.
  • A security guard patrols the airport grounds from 10pm to 6am daily.
